Now modern science and cosmetology have merged to create a technique for enhancing one's natural beauty.  This is called permanent makeup, permanent cosmetics, or micropigmentation.

At Faces Etc., the process is done using the manual SofTap method.  Softap is a registered trademark of SofTap Inc., and is recogmized as a leading technique in the field for safety and accuracy.  We use a set of fine, in-line needles that are dipped into a pigment mixture and then softly tapped into the skin.  Traditional methods of tattooing use a reciprocating needle which pushes color into the skin.

The SofTap method gently lifts the skin to deposit color.  As a result, there is a definite difference in the amount of pain experienced by the client.  Many clients who have had permanent makeup with the traditional tattoo method can attest to the fact that the SofTap method is far gentler.  Because it is gentler, the skin recovers faster.  Clients have been know to go out on the town immediately after their procedure.
